Raw Honey and Cinnamon

When two exclusively beneficial natural remedies unite, a guaranteed victory over many health issues occurs. The wondrous mixture of honey and cinnamon was used for centuries due to its miraculous healing power. Historical records have shown that many cultures around the world have used this mixture and passed it on as medicament to future generations.

Honey and Cinnamon Health Benefits
Honey is best known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Moreover, it is a real immunity booster containing nutrients such as: Amino acids, Vitamin C,,Riboflavin,Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium, Iron and Magnesium. Cinnamon, on the other hand, has been proven especially effective in treating digestive obstructions, menstrual discomfort as well as joint pain due to its high content of cinnamaldehyde (the anti-inflammatory molecular compound that gives cinnamon its flavor and odor). Fortunately, the mixture hasn’t shown any side-effects on consumers and has been proven safe when simultaneously taken with any other medicine.
Although recent research are focused on the powerful antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory traits of the honey-cinnamon mixture, it must be added that, with time, these superfoods boost the entire immune system and provide an anti-age effect.
Here are the common health issues that might be improved with the consumption of the honey- cinnamon mixture:

ARTHRITIS:
Make a natural anti-inflammatory paste by using two tablespoons of honey, two tablespoons of luke warm water and a small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply it on the inflicted area and massage it gently for 2 minutes. This will cause pain relief .
For patients with chronic arthritis it is recommendable to take a cup of hot water with two teaspoons of honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. This hot drink should be consumed twice a day, in the morning before breakfast and at night before bedtime.
According to a recent research at the Copenhagen University, this homemade treatment relieved the pain of numerous patients, over the course of a month ,and also improved their walking.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Patients who are suffering of bladder infections should consume this drink on a daily basis as it destroys all the germs in the bladder. Two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey are mixed in a cup of lukewarm water.

TOOTHACHE:
Toothaches can be soothed with the powerful anti-inflammatory properties of this paste: a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and five teaspoons of honey are stirred and then applied on the aching tooth, 3 times a day until pain is completely reduced.

CHOLESTEROL:
It is a common knowledge that honey effectively combats cholesterol. When combined with cinnamon powder, it provides even better results. Patients who are suffering from high cholesterol should consume the following drink 3 times a day between meals. Two tablespoons of honey and three tablespoons of cinnamon powder are stirred in a 16 ounces of tea water. This drink showed to reduce cholesterol levels by around 10 % within 2 hours.

RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS AND INFLUENZA:
Severe colds are often treated with honey, whether consumed plain or in a cup of hot tea. When combined with cinnamon powder, honey becomes an irreplaceable healer of chronic cough, cold, influenza and sinus inflammation.  A mixture of a tablespoon of lukewarm honey with a ¼ tablespoon of cinnamon powder taken on a daily basis, 3 times a day, will discard respiratory obstructions.

DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS:
Honey and cinnamon are powerful carminatives that can cure stomachache, clear stomach ulcers and relieve gas. A mixture of two tablespoons of honey with a teaspoon of cinnamon should be taken three times a day between meals.

CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES:
The powerful combo of honey and cinnamon fights obstructions that occur in the cardiovascular system. Patients with increased cholesterol level, problematic veins and arteries, as well as patients who have suffered a heart attack, are recommended to use a paste of honey and cinnamon powder in order to revitalize their cardiovascular system and prevent diseases. A regularly consumed cup of tea with honey and cinnamon powder arrests the ravages of old age.The tea is consisted of boiled water stirred with 4 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. It is recommended to be taken in the dosage of a ¼ cup, 3-4 times a day.

ACNE AND SKIN INFECTIONS:
Patients who experience skin problems with acne, pimples, eczema, ringworm and similar skin obstructions are recommended to use a homemade paste of cinnamon and honey. Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder are stirred into a paste. Apply the paste on clean skin, on areas affected, before bedtime. Wash it in the morning with warm water. It is recommendable to apply the paste on a daily basis over the course of minimum two weeks.

WEIGHT LOSS:
Obesity can be significantly reduced with the use of this hot drink which contains the nutritive powers of honey and cinnamon. This mixture prevents fat-accumulation in the body. It is recommendable to be taken on a daily basis, every morning on an empty stomach.

CANCER:
Patients who are suffering from different types of cancer are recommended to use the following mixture of honey and cinnamon in order to reduce the harsh symptoms of the illness. A tablespoon of honey is stirred with a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and consumed on an empty stomach, each morning in a time frame of 3 months.

FATIGUE:
Though many scientific analysis have rejected different forms of sugar, scientists still observe the sugar contained in honey due to its exceptional energizing qualities. The mixture of a half a tablespoon of honey diluted in a glass of water with an added pinch of cinnamon increases the vitality and vigor of bodily functions. It is recommendable to be taken daily, twice a day, Once in the morning before breakfast and one more time in the afternoon after lunch.

BAD BREATH:
The homemade mixture of a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of cinnamon diluted in hot water can is an effective morning gargle-solution that kills the dental bacteria and freshens up the breath.
